Today I feel sad...

You know...Heavy D was one of those celebrities whose passing hit me very hard. We were not friends, I've never met him, we have never crossed paths. But...my heart is heavy, like I lost a dear close friend. Our backgrounds are similar, children of Caribbean immigrants, raised in working class neighborhoods, he in NY me in NJ. He's in my brother's age range...I dunno...I feel like I lost a dear high school friend or something that I haven't spoken to in awhile. *sigh* What are the headlines saying?
