Why Can't We Have Free Healthcare!!!

Silverninja "about 2 years ago"

Healthcare is and should be our primary concern for all Americans. Too many people die each year because of lack of insurance and because of the lack of care provided by insurance companies who stop at nothing to try and deny people care for their treatments so that they don't have to pay. Healthcare should not be left in the hands of insurance companies for their profit and total control. Politicians should not be allowed to accept contributions (or what I call bribes) from these insurance companies so that they can keep passing bills that do nothing but hurt American citizens in the long run. We as citizens should not stand by and let the corrupt government and insurance companies dictate our health and well being. It is time for us to be heard; for our concerns to matter. It is time for change! I ‘m just an ordinary American citizen and NO, I’m not against our country, I just want to see our country do better. Universal Healthcare, despite what the mass media and our government wants you to know, works in other countries like Canada, UK, France, and even Cuba. They do not deny their citizens treatment and their citizens receive great care. Their citizens live much longer than us because they believe in helping out one another and not whether they are rich, or poor. The question is why does our government and the mass media want us to believe that their system does not work? Why do they try to demoralize their way of practicing healthcare and why can’t we do the same? We are the strongest nation in the world, yet we cannot have free healthcare for our citizens. The mass media and our government will say this a socialism concept. Is our Police Departments, Fire Departments, Public Schools, Libraries, Post Office, and a few others not considered socialized. We cannot sit by and let them tell us what they want for us, we need to tell them what we as citizens want for them to do. Stop taking these outrageous contributions from insurance companies and start thinking about the people of this great country and put their needs first instead of their own. Is that not what they signed up for when they asked us to vote them in their public offices? My goal is to make as many Americans aware to what is currently happening in our country about Healthcare issues. Many people will say that this is not my problem, I have medical insurance and it doesn't apply to me. WRONG...it does apply. Just because you have insurance doesn't mean they take care of you when you become very very sick. Insurance companies might try to deny you for some kind of pre-existing condition that there team is highly trained to do and say its not covered. This happens to so many Americans each day. Insurance companies should not be allowed to have total control. Healthcare should not be a free enterprise where a board of directors determine that you get treament, or not.
