Fix Our Tax System, NOW

Ok, all the talking heads say our tax system is unfair, that our taxes are among the highest in the world. What a bunch of C**P . Most of Europe has a higher tax base than ours, ours is just the worst SYSTEM in the world, otherwise why would so many of the worlds richest people, choose to live here. The latest cry is that the wealthiest 4% pay a full 60% of the taxes. What they fail to mention is that those very same people earn 90% of all the income earned in this country,(pretty hard to believe, in a country this big) - the very income they pay only 60% of the taxes on. Come on people do the math! If the total income in this country per year were $1000 and the total taxes collected were $100 what we are seeing is that the person who earns $900 will pay $60 or less than 7% of their income, and the masses, who earned that last $100 will have to pay $40 or 40% of their income. Our taxes are not all in income taxes, there are sales, property, school, head, and work privlige taxes, too.... but that is a rant for another day. We really need to go to a flat tax system. You live here, you earned it here, you pay the same amount as everyone else here. No write off's no gimmicry, no shell games.... you earn it, you pay a fixed part of it to Uncle Sam, Period - and yes there is that whole mortgage write off bit, but, even if we did away with that, and ALL write off's - the very first year, that the 4% of the population actually paid 90% of the taxes for that 90% of the total income, they earned .... the taxes on the rest of us would drop, from 40% down to 10% - WE the 96% of the people who pay taxes - would save one heck of a lot of money. And you know what? I would defy anyone to argue that that many people, with that much more money in their pockets, wouldn't stimulate our economy, now, and long term, one whole heck of a lot better than a one time tax "rebate" all with out costing us one tax dime!
