The Valentine's Day Concept

I hate the concept of Valentine's Day - but stores don't. They generate a lot of revenue on this sh*%ty day, and people get gifts like cards, chocolate, and jewelry for what? Nothing. I seriously feel Hallmark, Hershey's, 1-800-Flowers, etc. are behind the scam that is Valentine's Day, all in efforts to increase their Q1 revenue. I am happily single, but even when I was in a relationship, I would SHOW my boyfriend that I loved him (take a hint), I wouldn't buy his love. Chocolate, clothes, cards, all that stuff is just a waste. The holiday is a waste.....boycott Valentine's Day and tell these mega corporations that you know about their scams!
