California highways...

Let me explain a few things about how California highways work since several of you seem to be confused. When you are getting on the highway (fast road with a bunch of lanes) from a surface street (slow road with less lanes), you may want to take notice of the meter on sign. It will flash with the words "meter on" when the meter (the little stoplight at the end of the entrance ramp) is on. If the meter is off it will not flash. So if you see that the meter is off, it is ok to go ahead and accelerate. If you are doubtful that the sign is truthful, you can actually look ahead of you and see if other people are stopping or if the meter has the pretty red and green lights in operation. Why do you creep by the meter going 20? Are you afraid that it might suddenly turn itself on and you will need to stop? It doesn't happen like that, trust me. Now that you are past the meter and finally accelerating into traffic at freeway speed, why do you only go 40? Then you try to merge with traffic going 70-80. You are stupid and therefore I believe that Darwin's law will end your life. Good luck getting the semi trailer chunks out of your ass
