Oil Spill Nonsense

simonlowenstein "about 3 years ago"

Lowenstein in the house...so anyway, what is it with these people who are trying to blame Obama for the oil spill, calling it his "Katrina"? Are they freakin' serious? These people are just looking to throw mud (or oil, I guess) at Obama to discredit him in any way. It's purely political. Obama can't stop the oil from gushing, it's going to continue to get worse until BP "cleans up" (pun intended, sort of) it's act and get it's s--t together as far as the clean-up efforts are concerned. Yes the Obama administration has resources (manpower, planes, boats, you name it) but come on, it doesn't have the technological know-how that BP has as far as the oil apparatus is concerned and how to plug the well to prevent oil from gushing further. But, the time is now. The administration NEEDS to get involved and really show some leadership, since what BP is doing is failing miserably thus far. They need to utilize their vast array of resources and try to stop this mess with BP together, not go at it alone, because if not, this oil spill will turn into a full-fledged ecological catastrophe, if it hasn't already, according to many. This ISN'T Obama's 'Katrina' yet, the operative word being "yet" - but it very well could be if the administration does not start acting swiftly.
